The Most Special Watch for Sahar
Share
I had the privilege—yeah, privilege—to work on a watch for a fellow member of our community.
He asked for something special, a watch that tells the story behind the name “Sahar” engraved on it.
If he feels like sharing the story, that’s up to him.
Roi Danino, you’re welcome to share it whenever you want—I even got his permission to mention his name here.
Roi is one of us, and right now, he’s serving in a really sensitive area, risking his life so I can sit at home bingeing Mike Tyson Mysteries on Netflix without worrying about some terrorist barging into my living room.
The watch we made for him has a meteorite dial and is dedicated to the person whose name is inscribed on it. That name is also written on the custom box it comes in.
The watch is stunning during the day, but at night, it’s something else. Its glow is the brightest in the world right now—designed to symbolize that even in the darkest moments, the person it’s dedicated to will always shine.
This story moved me so much that I decided to go one step further.
I took what I earned from the project, added a little more, and gifted him an extra watch. Why? So that when he’s ready to move forward one day, he’ll have another piece to carry him through.

Now, let’s get something straight—don’t comment with “Good job, Shay.” The credit goes to Roi.
He’s one of us, every day on the front lines, keeping us safe.
Roi (and yeah, I asked for permission to share your name), if you want to add to this, feel free.
This group is all love, at least here.
I hope we’ll see a picture of the watch in action soon—it’s an honor that someone protecting us wears a piece connected to this group.
Love you, man.
P.S. Ending on a lighter note—if I butchered your name, sorry. But seriously, you better hit like after this whole intro!
